OUR TEAM

With roots in the rural stretches of northern Michigan - where miles often separate neighbors - my early life was defined by exploration, hands-on learning, and a relentless curiosity. Whether building ramps for bikes, repairing small engines, or disassembling electronics to understand their inner workings (often at the expense of a few working parts), I was drawn to the challenge of design, creation, and problem-solving from an early age. It wasn’t until the end of high school that I realized engineering was not just an interest - it was a calling.
I earned my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, specializing in Control Systems. During my undergraduate studies, I completed multiple co-op rotations at DePuy Synthes, working in their mechanical test lab. There, I gained hands-on experience with a wide array of sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition techniques. On my final rotation, I was selected to lead a project investigating non-invasive methods to confirm orthopedic implant seating. I developed a surgical mallet embedded with a microcontroller and various sensors, wrote the full suite of embedded software (data acquisition, transmission, and analysis), and co-led its validation efforts. The project was completed in under six months, and I was named on my first patent at just 21 years old.
Following graduation, I joined the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), initially as a software developer within the Battle Management Systems Division. My work focused on developing automated test tools for the Systems Integration Lab supporting AC-130 aircraft and associated munitions. I later transitioned into a mechanical engineering role with the Pharos Program in the Distributed Asymmetric Systems Branch, where I remained for nearly four years.
During my time with Pharos, I advanced my expertise in ruggedized mechanical design, CNC and manual machining, additive manufacturing, thermal and structural simulation, integrated sensor/software systems, and antenna/RF design. I served as the lead mechanical engineer on several mission-critical efforts, guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex, time-sensitive development cycles. I also developed multiple automated test fixtures and accompanying software tools to support internal validation and rapid iteration.
In early 2025, I made the decision to resign from NSWCDD to follow my dream and establish my own business - Saloka Precision Technologies, Inc. I was privileged to work alongside some of the most talented individuals in the Department of Defense community, delivering rapid, innovative solutions to urgent operational needs. Our work directly supported deployed units and contributed to saving lives on the battlefield - an impact that remains one of the greatest honors of my career.
Outside of engineering, I engage in activities that challenge both body and mind - skiing, biking, woodworking, skydiving, and BASE jumping. These pursuits have taught me how to operate calmly and decisively under pressure, and have sharpened my appreciation for rigorous planning, preparation, and control. In high-stakes environments, attention to detail and disciplined execution aren't optional - they’re critical. I bring that same mindset to my work: design with intent, build with precision, and test with purpose. That mission continues to drive me today - creating battle-hardened mechanical and electrical systems, rapidly and reliably, to meet the evolving challenges of modern defense.

From an early age, I was immersed in the world of mechanical craftsmanship. My grandfather founded an auto body and repair shop in the early 1970s, which my father carried forward after his passing. I spent my weekends and summers in that family-run garage, working on vehicles spanning from the modern times to their inception. It was there that I learned how to build a car from the frame up; gaining not only technical skills but also a deep appreciation for the artistry embedded in classic automotive design.
What captivated me most wasn’t just the mechanics, it was the elegance and intentionality of design. Great design goes beyond functionality; it reflects the vision of its creator and thoughtfully considers how humans interact with it. That belief continues to drive my work today.
I am the founder of BYWR Graphics and serve as a design partner for Saloka Precision Technologies, Corp., where I specialize in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), product design, and visual communication. My focus is on bridging the gap between complex engineering and intuitive user experience. Whether designing physical interfaces or digital tools, I collaborate closely with the SPT team to ensure every product integrates seamlessly into the user's workflow; balancing performance, usability, and aesthetic clarity.

Take the jump with us.
